FOREST Green Rovers have clinched a lucrative two-year deal with new shirt sponsors, the identity of whom will be revealed at an opening evening next week.

Next Thursday, July 29, the club will be opening their doors to existing and new supporters ahead of the 2010/11 campaign.

Prior to a friendly against Wessex League side Laverstock and Ford, kicking off at 7.30pm, the mystery sponsors will be unveiled on the pitch.

There will be no charge for entry to the match but spectators will be asked instead to make a donation to Age UK, the chosen charity of the new shirt sponsors.

Rovers' operations director Colin Peake said: "The new shirt sponsors to be announced will show our supporters and the community at large that the club is moving again in the right direction.

"But everyone will have to wait until the Open Evening to reveal their identity and commitment to the club."

The open evening will give fans the opportunity to meet the first-team players and tour the New Lawn stadium, including the new Green Club and Black and White Lounge facilities.

This will be followed at 9pm by a Fans Forum in the Carol Embrey Suite, with chairman David Drew and manager Dave Hockaday fielding questions from the floor.

A bouncy castle will be available for younger fans, provided free of charge by the new shirt sponsors.

League One side Exeter City will visit the New Lawn for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, August 3, kicking off at 7.45pm.

Rovers make the short trip to Shortwood United tomorrow night before their first home friendly against Bristol Rovers next Monday (7.45pm).
