LEE AYRES is firmly on Dave Hockaday’s recruitment radar following his plea in the SNJ for more funds to add players to the squad.

However, any possible return to the New Lawn for the former Forest Green defender will need to be funded by Rovers’ long standing “GRASS” initiative which has been revamped to enable supporters to contribute directly to the playing budget on a monthly basis.

GRASS (“Give Regularly, Assist Squad Sponsorship), is an account through which supporters can contribute funds, and it is hoped that sufficient funds will be given to add players to the current squad before the season starts.

Subscribers will need to contribute on a monthly basis from August 2010 to May 2011 inclusive (10 months).

The Club will contribute prizes on a monthly basis in the form of a family voucher (for 2 adults and 2 kids) or a 3 match adult voucher. The prizes will be to attend matches of your choice.

The target is to raise £2000 a month. The minimum subscription required to enter the draw is £10 a month by standing order. The account details are as follows: Forest Green FC Ltd (GRASS ACCOUNT), HSBC Bank, 4 King Street, Stroud, Glos, GL5 3DS Sort Code 40-43-21 Account number 21372947. Funds will be transferred from the account to the club for direct payment of players on a monthly basis.
