PAINSWICK edged a thriller at Cinderford St John by winning with two wickets and nine balls to spare.
Set a 228 target, the visitors were indebted to half-centuries from Abhijit Joshi and Jonny Griffiths.
Earlier, Cinderford posted an eighth-wicket partnership of 108 between Simon Gwynne and Richard Bywater.
However, Dan Cave bagged four wickets and Ed Bressington and James Harber also chipped in.
Painswick's reply started well, George Ayland hit 27 before being caught by Julian Kibble off Henry.
Joshi and Griffiths then smashed 53 and 62 respectively. Ali Bressington (8) and Julian Telling (2) both fell to Mark Roberts and Craig Kibble bowled James Cook (25) and Ed Bressington (5).
When Harber (0) fell to Gwynne, Cinderford were in the box seat, but Cave’s unbeaten 27 saved the day for Painswick.
