THE funeral of former Forest Green Rovers and Gloucester City chairman Colin Gardner MBE takes place next Tuesday.
Gardner (pictured) died on Saturday morning, aged 69, two years after being diagnosed with an untreatable brain tumour.
His funeral service is being held at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Minchinhampton, at 1pm.
Gardner was the former proprietor of Gardner Security and was well-known for his charity work, raising more than £1 million for good causes.
Family flowers only have been requested and donations in lieu may be sent for (and made payable to) The Minchinhampton Surgery Charitable Trust, c/o Fred Stevens Funeral Directors, Newmarket Road, Nailsworth, GL6 0DQ.
