Chalford AFC secured the Reg Davis Memorial Cup by beating King's Stanley 3-0 at Slimbridge.
On a perfect pitch, Stanley settled the quickest and caused Chalford problems in the opening period with Dangerfield and Cooke prominent. Stanley were dominant and Rob Sims was called upon as he tipped a Stanley free-kick over the bar.
Despite Stanley having noticeably more possession Chalford did go close when Andy Maryon headed over and then James Keylock’s lob beat Garraway and the bar.
Five minutes before half-time Chalford make the breakthrough when Luke Brunsdon beat his man and delivered a terrific cross which was met on the run by Maryon who’s header looped over Garraway into the far corner.
Chalford doubled their lead in the 64th minute as Sims' long clearance wasn’t dealt with and Harry managed to control, turn and finish past Garraway.
Stanley introduced player-manager Jordan Fletcher as they looked to get back in the game and he looked to test Sims from distance but his effort flew wide. At the other end, Brad Moore saw his effort beaten away by Garraway.
However, in the 85th minute Chalford but the game to bed with the move of the match, some quick passing in midfield saw Maryon flick the ball into the path of Ed Parsloe he then released club stalwart Simon Loftus who took a great touch and lifted the ball of the advancing Garraway.
Chalford manager Ben Powell said: "I’m massively pleased to have won tonight, Stanley caused us huge problems in the first 30 minutes, but we weathered the storm and made some changes which allowed us to get a foothold in the game.
"Dzeko’s (Maryon) header was fantastic to give us the lead, and for Lofty (Loftus) to seal it at the end was brilliant he’s been at the club 13 years and that’s his first cup final so it means a lot, I couldn’t of picked a better person to score the third.
"Special mention to Rew Roberts who was brilliant, we needed someone to pick us up and get us playing as Stanley were well on top and he did exactly that and deserved his man-of-the-match award.
"It’s the first time the first team have been involved in a final since 2003, so tonight meant a lot, not only to the players and management team but also the rest of the football club."
