CHARLIE COOPER has signed for National League outfit FC Halifax Town.
The former Forest Green and Birmingham City midfielder had his New Lawn contract mutually cancelled last month and was set to join League One Bury before their expulsion from the EFL.
Cooper,22, helped Forest Green to promotion into League Two after their play-off final victory over Tranmere at Wembley in 2017. He played 59 games for Rovers, scoring once.
He spent part of last season on loan at Newport County before returning to Rovers in December.
The Shaymen are currently second in the early-season National League standings.
