British National Superstock 1000 cc rider Jordan Weaving from Stroud, has the first meet of the racing calendar coming up this weekend 25th-27th April at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit.
Born in South Africa, Weaving,23, first burst into the headlines racing amongst the world’s finest young racers in the MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Championship, first on the 125cc before stepping up to a KTM 250cc Moto 3 machine.
His progress has been rapid, and in 2014 he was crowned Motul British Motostar Champion and British Superstock 600 Champion just two years later. Weaving then progressed again to British National Superstock 1000cc, earning Rookie of the Year in his first year in this class.
For 2019, Jordan switched to Suzuki machinery with the JDR squad, where his performance has immediately taken a step forward, and after successful testing on the GSX R1000, Weaving is being tipped as a podium finisher, challenging for the championship.
Throughout the 2019 British Superstock season, Weaving will be receiving extensive full live coverage on British Eurosport, along with highlights packages being shown on ITV4.
