Forest Green Rovers midfielder Reece Brown has received his second nomination of the season for the League Two Player of the Month award.
Having been nominated in October and being pipped by Grimsby Town goalkeeper James McKeown, the 23-year-old has caught the eye again for his superb form in March.
Over the course of the month, Brown was involved in seven of FGR’s eight goals, scoring five and assisting two, taking his account for the season to 10 goals and 10 assists in the league, which was added to last Saturday, playing in Christian Doidge for his first goal against Crawley Town.
Brown is joined by two former Forest Green Rovers players in the nominations list in the form of Tranmere Rovers striker James Norwood and Swindon Town forward Kaiyne Woolery, as well as Lincoln City full-back Neal Eardley, with the winner announced this Friday.
Having turned 23 on March 3, Brown kicked-off the month with the opening goal against Lincoln the day before.
He was the star of the show when FGR headed to the Jobserve Community Stadium, getting two assists and playing a pivotal role in the build-up for the second goal of the evening, which he netted himself.
Brown scored a fine solo goal to claim a point against Carlisle United before scoring a brace on the road against Port Vale, starting the move for his second from inside his own box.
The winners will be announced on Friday, April 12, with the judging panel comprising of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Ivor Davies.
