MAGNO Vieira has left Forest Green by mutual consent.
The former Wigan, Fleetwood, Crawley, and Wycombe attacker had four and a half months left on his three-year contract at Forest Green but has not played a Vanarama Conference game for Rovers this season, with his only two league appearances coming while on loan with Nuneaton Town back in August.
The 30-year-old Brazilian was former Forest Green boss David Hockaday's marque signing when he joined from newly promoted Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2012, where he had scored 31 conference goals in 64 appearances over the previous two seasons.
Yet despite being a popular member of the squad, Vieira never hit those heights, scoring five times in 49 league appearances.
He netted three times in 35 games during 2012/13 and twice in 15 appearances last season, before becoming a peripheral figure this term.
In total, Vieira made 57 first team appearances for Forest Green and scored six times.
His last appearance came from the bench in Rovers 3-0 FA Trophy win against Didcot Town in mid-December.
