BRIMSCOMBE'S FA Vase reward for beating Carterton Town 5-2 on Saturday will see Mike Green's side travel to Western League Welton Rovers in the first round.
There are 101 ties that will take place over the weekend of Saturday, November 1 with winning clubs banking £900 from the FA’s prize fund.
Sam Blackie opened the scoring against Carterton on Saturday, when he fizzed in from 30 yards.
The Lilywhies made it 2-0 on 30 minutes thanks to an Ashley Caldwell strike.
The Oxfordshire side replied early in the second half when they were awarded a penalty and Dan Bishop scored from the spot.
However, two goals in five minutes turned this tie in Brimscombe’s favour.
Former Forest Green midfielder Ashley Brown and Caldwell both beat Harry Ellis the Carterton keeper and the visitors were 4-1 down.
Sub Jamie Walker fired in the fifth goal.
Nonetheless, Carterton showed their intent in the latter stages and John Brodie prevented them from adding to their tally with a great goal-line clearance.
However, Carterton’s substitute Jordan Cormack burst through the Brimscombe defence and beat Steve Sparrow for a consolation second goal in the 83rd minute.
