Division 1: Thornbury A move to second place in the league with a convincing 9-1 win against Whiteshill A.
Len Vowles and Ian Maggs were unbeaten in singles and doubles, Julian Elsbury conceded the point losing to Steve Greening in the fifth.
Yate entertained Woodchester A and thanks to a fine maximum from Andy Cox ran out 6-4 winners.
Will Berkley scored a brace for the home side and combined with Andy to win the doubles after Dave Lloyd with two and one each from Keith Armstrong and James Ashton completed Woodchester’s scoring.
Woodchester B took nine points from the visitors, Phoenix B with maximums for Billy Shilton and Nick Collins and two for Dennis Wadley.
Richard Maddrell scored a consolation point for Phoenix before Billy and Nick just nicked the doubles in five.
Forest Green A were made to work hard for their points to take them to the top of the table. Olly Tyndall won all his sets and with Alan Giles winning two and Ben Glover one gave the home side six points. Visiting Frampton A had Bill Dawe to thank for a brace, and a singles win for Abu Saeehbai before the same two combined to win the doubles.
Division 2: Things went to form when competing club teams, Thornbury C and B played each other, with the visiting B team winning 7-3.
All the C team players got on the score-sheet with a single win each for Kim Morris, Len Pattison and Graham Eden.
Gavin Rogers and Simon Lewis both scored a max for the B team then combined to win the doubles. Phoenix C had a close match with Randwick A, and clinched victory with a fine doubles performance from Mike Davis and Connor Ward.
Earlier, Mike Davis went unbeaten and Connor and Bob Waters each won a set. Randwick’s reply came with a brace of sets for Robbie Hawkins and Dan Ind.
Woodchester C had to work hard for their two points at Forest Green B with the home side in good form.
Craig Smart and Jimmy Haycraft both went unbeaten in singles and John Crowther won another. Ken Bridle and Roger Davis each won a set for the visitors before Craig and John won the doubles in three.
It was mother and daughter verses father and son when Woodchester D entertained Frampton B. In a match much closer than the final score indicated, the only point for the home side was when Emily Philp beat “big brother” Ollie in four.
Gerry Dupree was not to be left out scoring a max for Frampton and with Simon Philp also unbeaten in singles then joined Ollie(2) to win the doubles in four.
Division 3: The Frampton C trio of Alan Perratt, Brian Cullis and Len Agg all won a point against the visiting Whiteshill B.
But maximums for Chris Varley and Neil Wilkins plus the doubles gave the visitors a 7-3 win.
Cam A came back from two nil down to record their best win of the season, beating visiting Randwick B 7-3.
Brian McNeil returned a maximum for the home side and there was another two from Paul Stewart (who came back from 7-0 down in the fifth) and one from Bob Wild.
Mark Edwards scored two for Randwick and Roger Dickenson another. Bob and Brian won the doubles for Cam. Phoenix F resisted but could not prevent their D team club mates running out 10-0 winners.
Andy Hammond, Krzysztof Kawalczuk and John Catterall were all unbeaten. Woodchester E played a weakened Cam B as the visitors could only field two players. Harry Prescott with two wins and Alex Yeung with one battled in vain and did well for the three points. But again John Bunn was unbeaten and assisted by Pat Pumphrey with a set victory, the two then combined to win the doubles.
Match score 7-3. Phoenix E entertained local rivals Forest Green C and ran out convincing winners 8-2 on the night. Lucky Gallage scored a maximum against his old club mates and was well assisted by Connor Ward and Arran Skinner with two apiece.
Jane Leigh and Keith Foord scored consolations for the visitors before Connor and Arran completed the scoring with a comfortable doubles win.
Division 4: Randwick C travelled to Frampton D with only two players but still came away with a 6-4 win thanks to David Perry winning three and Martin McKay winning two.
Glen Watkins scored the single reply for the home side. David and Martin won the doubles to seal the win.
Another in house derby saw Phoenix G beat Phoenix I 6-4. The home sides points came from Chris Clifton-Sprigg and Louise Rees with two apiece and one from Meg Willsher.
Chris Hampton was unbeaten for the visitors and Rob Arthur scored another before Chris and Meg won the doubles.
There were some close sets but Randwick C beat visiting Phoenix H 10-0 with Ralph Perry, Martin McKay and George Morris all unbeaten on the night. Forest Green D travelled the short distance up the hill to play local rivals Nailsworth B and came away with a 7-3 victory.
Nailsworth’s points came from Mike May with a double and another from Dave Watson. Richard Wright was again on good form for the visitors with a maximum and was assisted by Neville Nelder with two and Joe Spence with one. Richard and Joe won a comfortable doubles in three.
