FOREST Green chairman Dale Vince has revealed his ‘disappointment ‘after the Football Association backed Andy Mangan’s claims of wrongful dismissal.
The Liverpool-based striker was suspended for disciplinary reasons under the tenure of ex-boss David Hockaday and had his three-year deal cancelled in February.
But the 27-year-old took his case to the Football Conference, who then overturned his dismissal and he returned to pre-season training in June before joining Shrewsbury Town in July.
However, Rovers continued their appeal to the Football Association.
Vince said: “We are disappointed in the decision of the FA, as we were in the original decision of the Conference, but we accept it."
