FA WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
FOREST GREEN ROVERS LFC 3
LARKHALL ATHLETIC LFC 0
FOREST Green maintained their good start to the season, with this workmanlike victory over Larkhall at Wisloe Road on Sunday.
A lacklustre first half produced few chances, with a few goal mouth scrambles all to show for both teams efforts.
The half-time pep-talk from manager Josh Giddins seemed to do the trick, as a rejuvenated home team started with a lot more urgency, and Naomi Marshall soon pounced to fire home from close range.
A second soon followed as captain Kirsty Richardson found Ellie Olds , who fizzed home from 25 yards.
With the home team keeping the tempo high , Larkhall struggled to repel Rovers' attacks, and it came as no surprise when Rosie Bidder put Sammy Hallsworth through on goal, to calmly slot past the advancing keeper, to complete the scoring.
With another welcome three points in the bag, Rovers can be happy with their start to the season, but will be striving to put in full 90 minute performances against the strong opposition in their upcoming fixtures.
