BRISTOL Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has ended his interest in trialist striker Duncan Culley.
The prolific Shortwood striker has spent the week at the Conference outfit after spending time on trial at Cheltenham Town and Oxford United during pre-season. He also scored five goals for crisis club Salisbury City last weeekend.
Culley has been offered a two-year deal by Salisbury boss Steve Claridge, but the FA dismissed an appeal to allow the club back into the Conference and even refused club officials entry into their own hearing.
City were relegated from the non-league top tier in June after failing to pay off outstanding debts and then subsequently expelled a month later.
And after being barred from attending the hearing at Wembley on Tuesday, the directors released a statement on their website decrying the FA’s behaviour and claimed they are being ‘stitched up’ by the powers that be.
