ENTRIES are being accepted for the 32nd running of the Stroud Half Marathon.
Organised by Stroud & District Athletics Club, sponsored by Griffiths Marshall, Chartered Accountants of Gloucester, Dairy Crest and Ecotricity will take place on Sunday, October 27 at 10am from Marling School, Cainscross Road.
Entry information for both the Half Marathon and Silver Mile races can be found on the club website at www.stroudathleticclub.co.uk.
Stroud & District Athletics Club would like to apologise unreservedly in advance for the disruption to road users that will occur during the race.
These closures are implemented in conjunction with the Police and highways to ensure the safety and well being of all concerned.
The Stroud Half Marathon is pleased to be supporting Teckles Animal Sanctuaries (Bristol Road, Whitminster).
As well as the Half Marathon, there will be two separate junior races (previously the Silver Mile)- 1Km (school year 4-6, min age 9 years) and a 1Mile race (school year 7-11) so that juniors of any standard can compete.
Both races will be held consecutively starting from 15 minutes after the main event.
For further information please contact Geoff Trueman on 01453 886162. Without the support of the general public this event would not be possible but the club needs marshals to assist on the day.
If you would like to volunteer, please send an e-mail to marshal@stroudathleticclub.co.uk along with your contact details.
