GLOUCESTER have kept faith with the young squad that secured silverware in the J P Morgan Premiership Sevens and have named a similar squad to take on the best in the world at Twickenham this weekend.
Coached again by Olly Morgan, the Cherry and Whites will appear at Rugby HQ rewarding the efforts of the squad that was victorious at The Rec.
The Cherry and Whites who are named in Pool A as the only team to qualify for the World Club 7s tournament, are set to come up against DHL Western Province, VVA Moscow Region and New York. In the one change, scrum-half Dan Robson is named after captaining the side in last year's domestic sevens campaign.
Top try scorer Steph Reynolds is named after hugely impressing over the past fortnight as well as Welsh 7s World Cup winner Rhodri McAtee who brings vital experience to the youthful side.
The three Fijians are named in the squad, after excelling on Friday evening, Andrew Bulumakau and Apo Satala will pull on a Gloucester shirt again joining fellow Islander Akapusi Qera to deliver power and Sevens experience.
Captain Martyn Thomas spoke ahead of this weekend and is hugely excited as he leads his Gloucester side as they look to continue their fine form in the Sevens game.
"The boys will now look forward to the World Club 7s and we have worked hard so we will continue to do that and who knows what we can do.
"It will be a big challenge for us and we will need to recover well and we will go to Twickenham with high hopes of trying to win something else."
