FOREST GREEN'S top brass have moved swiftly this week to offer manager Jim Harvey a contract - which the SNJ understands will run to 2008.
Chairman Colin Gardner and director John Clapp held talks with Harvey on Monday, where a contract was handed to the former Morecambe and Northern Ireland assistant manager.
Harvey is now casting his eye over his contract offer but chairman Gardner is confident his man will sign.
"I expect Jim to sign, said Gardner.
"Jim has got a good deal and so have we. Details on the contract will be finalised and then Jim should sign very soon."
Harvey has transformed a strugglingside he inherited from Gary Owers in September into one with a swashbuckling playing pattern, which has seen the popular Ulsterman quickly find favour with fans at the New Lawn.
Harvey, who has been working without a contract said: "I'm happy to sign a contract once everything is in place."
*JIM HARVEY and assistant Paul Wanless will take part in an open forum at the Carol Embrey Suite on Monday, December 18 at 7pm.
