I’M very disappointed that the council are evicting the skatepark and the indoor football at Brimscombe Port.
These are facilities that are used by young people in our area and further afield, bring tourists to the corner shop and B&Bs.
I think I am right in thinking that a developer hasn’t been found for this site yet so it could be a number of years if at all that this development will even happen.
The council should let the skatepark and indoor football stay or provide them with alternative premises nearby.
The feeling is very strong in the community as so often we are urged to get our young people to do exercise and here we are taking it away.
Doesn’t seem to make sense to me.
If a developer is found they should be made to build appropriate facilities within the Brimscombe Port to show our young people that we encourage and support them
