MADAM – I was outraged to learn recently of BSkyB’s heavy-handed enforcement of a name change at Skyhook Studios.
To claim that there may be some confusion between “Sky” and Skyhook Studios is ridiculous – BSkyB’s legal vultures clearly have too much time on their hands.
Ironically I heard of this episode just as 38 Degrees members were leafletting in the High Street about the TTIP trade deal negotiations.
This deal could pave the way for even bigger abuses of power by corporations, allowing global businesses to sue governments for refusing to privatise public services like our NHS, or for passing laws that might reduce profits – like plain packaging on cigarettes, or raising the minimum wage, or insisting on environmental protection.
It’s vital that TTIP is stopped.
