INSTRUCTORS and Students of Cotswold Karate Club gained several awards a few weeks ago.
David O’Bryan the clubs Chief Instructor was awarded his fifth Dan Black Belt and presented with the Hall of Fame Shield by Head of WUMA Richard Hopkins.
Instructor Richard Howe was delighted to receive his fourth Dan Black Belt along with the Hall of Fame shield and instructor Andrew Gibbons also received the Hall of Fame shield.
After a gruelling two days of grading Father and Son Jonathan and Adam Kerry were both awarded their first Dan Black Belt.
Shortly after receiving his fourth Dan Black Belt, Richard Howe (front row second from right) sadly passed away on July 13, 2014 after losing his fight against cancer.
Richard will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
Cotswold Karate Club was founded over 30 years ago and has produced many Black Belts during that period.
Training takes place every Tuesday at 7pm for Juniors, and 7.30pm for Seniors at St Josephs Church Hall in Stonehouse.
New members young and old are always made most welcome.
