THE viewpoint from Shab Hill with it's magnificent view across the Vale of Gloucester was the starting point of a 10 mile walk by members of the Stroud Rambling Club.
The early part taking the Gloucester Way to Coberley proceeding on to Harley Hill, Upper Coberley with some wonderful scenery of the Cotswolds.
The countryside was alive with the summer harvest in full swing.
The first part of the walk finished crossing the River Churn, arriving at Cockleford with the opportunity of refreshment at The Green Dragon.
The afternoon set off with a walk through Cowley Woods leaving across some open plain land to the small hamlet of Stockwell finally returning to Shab Hill with a last look at the view.
Stroud Rambling Club have walks every week so why not join us.
New members are always welcome.
