WHEN a regional modelling agency lets you down there is only one thing to do - call on your friends.
That is the advice from Nailsworth’s Knickerbockers owner Verity Symcox, who was left with a fashion show in potential ruins when the well-known agency pulled out two days before a show.
The boutique owner was due to put on a summer fashion show for the launch of the new Teuco Hydrosonic bath at Water and Stones Bathrooms in nearby Woodchester when she was informed that the agency would be unable to supply the models due to a 'double booking'.
“I won’t even name them,” said Verity.
“Luckily for me I managed to call a few friends and ask them the biggest favour in the world, will you model for me in just swimwear?”
The evening show went ahead at Woodchester Mills thanks to the nine friends who stepped in to fill the vacancy.
Verity added: “If it wasn’t for them I would have had to cancel and let Water and Stone down and this was simply not an option.
"They were fabulous and in my opinion were better than the real thing.”
