A NEW club aimed at supporting the relationship between fathers and sons has been launched in Stroud.
The Lads and Dads Club is the brain-child of Stroud resident Phil Pryer who was trying to find social activities to do with his son Dan.
“The inspiration for Lads and Dads Club comes from the fun my son Dan and I had quad biking, camping and doing simple things like cycling,” said Phil.
“Those activities are even better with friends, and that’s what Lads and Dads Club is all about.
“As our club grows, fathers and sons all over Britain will have more chances to adventure together and build that special bond.
“Today more than ever, sons need quality time with strong male role models.
“Families are increasingly aware of the importance of the father-son relationship, but finding time, money and opportunities to do things together is tough.
“Our club takes lads and dads on brilliant adventures, where kids can grow and learn and dads can be the heroes they want to be.”
The free-to-join club is set to offer fathers and sons across the UK a huge choice of affordable ways to spend more time together, from camping and kayaking to cooking and beyond.
The first local meeting of the Lads and Dads Club will take place at 10am on Saturday, October 4 at Stroud Old Town Hall.
