WHISKY lovers are invited to a tasting evening with one of the largest spirit producers in India.
Paul John from Indian Single Malt will take guests through the production process as well as some of the challenges of making whisky from 7.45pm on Tuesday, September 10 at The Ram Inn in South Woodchester.
The event has been organised by Stroud Whisky Club, which was set up in May.
Club founder Tom Blumson said: "We are delighted that a distillery from India is coming to Woodchester.
"It is a really big deal for us.
"The group was set up to provide an easy going, fun and social environment where our members can meet to try and discuss a variety of whiskies."
The group meets once a month and is looking for more members.
Guests at the tasting night will enjoy drinks, food and also get a complimentary tasting glass, for ticket details see www.stroudwhiskyclub.co.uk or pop into the pub. All proceeds go towards the club.
