police are continuing their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which killed a 69-year-old man from Kings Stanley on Saturday, July 31.
The accident occurred on the A429 Stow Road between Cirencester and North Cerney and officers investigating the collision are particularly eager to hear from the drivers of two vehicles, and their passengers, who it’s thought might have witnessed the collision or arrived at the scene shortly after.
Both cars are believed to have been travelling towards Cirencester and turned around and the left scene back towards Northleach before police arrived. One of the vehicles had a female passenger in the front seat of the car.
The collision happened at approximately 1.50pm on Saturday July 31 and involved a blue Suzuki motorcycle, travelling towards Cirencester, and a silver Toyota Previa, travelling in the direction of Northleach.
The driver of the car, a 73-year-old man from Stratford-Upon-Avon and his passenger, a 73-year-old woman, were uninjured in the collision.
The drivers and passengers of these vehicles, and anyone with any information about the collision, is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 282 of July 31.
