PLANS are underway for this year's Nailsworth Christkindl Evening which is to be held on Friday, November 26.
The evening last year had to be cancelled due to a lack of helpers But now a new committee, including shop keepers and residents, have come together to make sure this year's event is a success.
Claire Stapleton, one of the organisers, said: "Many residents were sad not to have an event last year and we are keen to make sure it goes ahead this year. "We have a small team of volunteers and are doing our best to make sure it goes ahead." The new committee is holding a summer ball to raise money for Nailsworth Christkindl Evening.
It will include a three course dinner with live entertainment from Lewis Dixon, singing Michael Buble songs, a comedy ventriloquist, dancing and music, and a prize draw on Saturday, August 14 from 7pm until late at the Whitminster Inn at Whitminster, on the A38.
Ticket are £35 and the dress code is black tie Tickets available from The Optical Shop and Just Pets in Nailsworth and PPD Solutions, Station Rd Ind Est, Woodchester.
