INDUSTRIOUS Thomas Keble pupils managed to turn £20 into £650 as part of a school project to raise cash for charity.
Each Year 8 tutor group was given £20 and set a challenge to use it to raise as much money as they could for a charity of their choice within three months.
Following several cake and ice cream sales, raffles and a special Thomas Keble’s Got Talent event, Mrs Parfitt’s group were able to raise an impressive £650 for St Rose’s School’s Smile Appeal to build a new hydrotherapy pool.
A cheque was presented to Dominic Carey and Vicky Maggs from St Rose’s by pupil Tegan Helbrow at Thomas Keble on Wednesday, July 14.
