A WEEKEND of celebrations to mark the 55th anniversary of Stonehouse Methodist Church’s present location in the town took place recently.
More than 100 parishioners packed into Douglas Morley Hall in Elms Road to enjoy a concert by the Gloucestershire Male Voice Choir.
This was followed by a special Holy Communion service at the church with the Rev Prebendary Norman Wallwork and his wife.
Parishioners previously worshipped at Wycliffe College chapel and before that at the old church where Methodism was established in 1846.
