A teenage girl pulled from the water at the Cotswold Water Park at the weekend has died.
Gloucestershire Police were alerted to an incident at a public ‘beach’ at the park in Ashton Keynes, Cricklade on Sunday July 11.
It is believed that the 15-year-old girl from Middlesex had been playing in the water at approximately 3.45pm when her family could not find her. She was pulled from the water by a member of the public - possibly a boy who was amongst a group playing football in the lake. A lifeguard from the Water Park carried out CPR until paramedics arrived.
The teenager had been in a critical condition at Great Western Hospital, Swindon.
She died yesterday afternoon. The coroner has been informed.
Officers would like to speak to the young man who helped bring her from the water and ask that he contact them on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 448 of July 8.
