PUPILS from Nailsworth Primary School dressed up as characters from the musical Hairspray at their summer fete on Saturday.
The school's dance and drama group was promoting the musical which they will be performing at the school later in the year.
Around 300 people attended the fayre, which raised £1,400 for the school, and included a barbecue, tombola, coconut shy, face-painting and cake and book stalls.
There was also children's games such as a maze, balloon race and egg-throwing competition.
