Gloucestershire Police were alerted to an incident at a public ‘beach’ at the Cotswold Water Park, Ashton Keynes in Cricklade on Sunday, July 11, in which a teenage girl was injured.
It’s believed that the 15-year-old girl from Middlesex had been playing in the water at approximately 3.45pm when her family couldn’t find her. She was pulled from the water by a member of the public, possibly a boy who was amongst a group playing football in the lake. A lifeguard from the Water Park carried out CPR until paramedics arrived.
She is currently being treated in the Intensive Treatment Unit at Great Western Hospital where her condition is considered to be critical.
Officers would like to speak to the young man who helped recover her from the water and ask that he contact them on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 448 of July 8.
