STROUD police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that happened on Church Road in Cainscross last month. A 23-year-old man from Stonehouse was in the area of Church Road near to St Matthews Church at around 6pm on Saturday May 15 when he had a verbal altercation with another man who then assaulted him, causing a broken rib.
The victim reported the incident to police on Friday, July 2.
The offender was described as around 6ft 3” tall, aged between 46 and 55 and of ‘stocky’ build. He was wearing a khaki green/brown checked shirt, blue jeans and dark coloured work boots.
