THE Great West Bird Fair took to the air at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT), Slimbridge at the weekend.
The centre resounded with all things feathered, with something for everyone to do from toddlers right through to great grandparents and of course, serious birders.
Now in its sixth year, the Great West Bird Fair was bigger and better with all manner of exhibitors, stall holders, tours and talks.
This year's event focused on celebrating 60 years of conservation with WWT and included celebrity talks by presenter Chris Packham and BBC producer Stephen Moss along with WWT experts.
On Sunday Chris Packham and Stephen Moss were tested on their knowledge of birds and birdwatching during the Mastermind Competition.
And wildlife photographer Richard Taylor-Jones was on hand to give guided photographic walks for those keen to learn more about the art of photography.
The very keen were seen gathered around experts from the London Camera Exchange who showed visitors how to use a digi-scope.
For nature lovers there was bird identification mini courses and guides available throughout to assist both experienced bird watchers as well as beginners.
For those too squeamish to visit to the reptiles on show in the children's marquee there was the more gentle, Peter Scott trail with Floodlit Swan Feeds.
