A SAFETY campaign has been launched to cut the number of motorcyclists killed on roads in the Five Valleys and the rest of the county.
The THINK! campaign launched this week encourages riders and other motorists to 'look out for each other' and to take care at junctions.
Bikers account for 17 percent of those killed or seriously injuries on our roads.
More than half of accidents involving cyclists happen at junctions. Among those backing the campaign is Kate Delaney, whose husband died in a motorcycle crash near Whitminster in 2001.
Her daughter Georgina, 17 and son Simon, 20 are also fully behind it. Kate said: "Before Ken died we had no idea so many motorcycle accidents and deaths happen on our roads.
"I plead with all road users to be careful and considerate drivers, especially when approaching or pulling out of junctions.
"Take time to stop and think.
"A few extra moments could have saved Ken's life." The campaign consists of TV, radio and poster adverts urging road users to be careful at junctions.
