Conference Halifax Town 1 Forest Green Rovers 0
FOREST GREEN boss Gary Owers felt his side deserved a slice of the spoils as he watched his side fall to their second consecutive defeat at promotion chasing Halifax Town on Saturday.
"We deserved something from the game," admitted Owers.
However, Rovers' free-kick nemesis surfaced again as Adam Quinn nodded the only goal of the game after 18 minutes much to the annoyance of Owers, who said: "We lost a goal to a free-kick which I am not happy about but other than thatg we defended very well."
He added: "We had a go at the players after the defeat against Tamworth on Tuesday but I can't criticise them about this performance."
Earlier, Owers handed a belated debut to midfielder Michael Brough. After Quinn's goal Rovers tried to find a way back into the match with Johnnie Hayes and substitute Bruno Teixeira going close.
FOREST GREEN travel to Stafford Rangers in the FA Trophy fourth round this Saturday (3pm).
