THE constantly evolving Hub Collective have, with their two-year run of eclectic and intimate soires, delighted Stroud revellers for some time.

They are now taking their magical mix of feel-good vibes and visual feast a step further, masterfully recreating a magical, snug lounge atmosphere in the usually voluminous Stroud Subscription Rooms, backed up by strong live acts and smooth DJing.

This month, Bottle Bag, a Gloucestershire-based group with a distinctively laid-back funky vibe, are headlining.

Their sound mixes elements of reggae, jazz and retro with catchy music, vocal harmonies and a pinch of psychedelic.

"They play a kind of jazz with strong insinuations of reggae laced with rich vocal harmonies and smooth guitar lines, with enough funk to get everyone moving," said Hub supremo Neil Walker.

Bottlebag will be supported by The Ones, a Stroud-based four piece dedicated to delivering unforgettable, original mega-grooves.

Laced with echoes of organ driven bands like Booker T & the Mgs and The Doors, The Ones have been a popular feature at previous Hub events.

Bottlebag's master stickman Senor Chipeye will be joining the guitar and vocals of Nick Buckle, basstones of Graeme Owen and the swirling pink organ of Charley 'for the audience's absolute pleasure'.

Hub Live comes to the Subscription Rooms on Friday, February 3 between 8.30pm and 1am. Tickets are £5 and are available in advance from the box office or on the door. Last entry is at 10.30pm.
