STROUD'S Subscription Rooms will celebrate the end of the year with three days of dance in a row this week, with the season's climactic sessions from A Cocktail of Dancing and Just Jive-In Dance, as well as an Xmas Soul Party extravaganza.

The Steve Holmes School of Dancing presents A Cocktail of Dancing on Wednesday, December 28 at 8pm.

This is the party dance of the season for all lovers of ballroom dancing, and there is a special guest demonstration in the interval from the Sean Eireann Irish dancers.

The evening promises a friendly and lively experience with something for everyone including sequence, Latin American and jive. Tickets are £8.

Dance fanatics can also dance the night away with the Just Jive-In Dance night on Friday, December 30 at 8.30pm.

Jimmy and Lisa, who run the show, promise a great atmosphere and fantastic music from the 1940s to present day to kick-start the new year.

Tickets are £6 or £5 for members.

On Thursday, December 29, Stax of Trax return for their third annual Xmas Soul Party.

DJ Andy Edwards will play non-stop classic 70s and 80s soul and there is live performance from one of the UKs great live singers Jackie Graham and top soul and dance band The Pasadenas.

Tickets are £15 and the show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets for all events are available from the box office.
