SHORTWOOD will face a stern test of their resolve when they face Bishops Cleeve in the FA Vase first round at Meadowbank on Saturday (3pm).
Having already suffered a 3-0 home defeat earlier in the season, United will go into the clash as undoubted underdogs.
Cleeve, managed by former Forest Green favourite Paul Collicutt were unfortunate to lose 1-0 at Conference South Eastbourne in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup last Saturday.
Meanwhile, United captain Rich Moore, who struck a brace in last Wendesday's 2-2 draw with Fairford Town.
However, a wretched performance on Saturday saw Shortwood come straight back down to earth with a demoralising and wretched 4-0 home defeat against high-flying Didcot Town.
