EVIL alien pepperpots the Daleks revealed the latest stage in their assault on earth when they invaded the Stroud Subscription Rooms on Tuesday.
The trundling terrors, made famous as the arch-enemies of timelord Dr Who, were in town to promote the forthcoming BBC Experience in Gloucester.
"They are doing recce missions to find the places they like in Gloucestershire," said BBC Radio Gloucestershire presenter Vernon Harwood. "They are thinking of moving here - in fact one of them is becoming rather amorous with the new bollards."
The two Daleks, built by enthusiast Nigel Parkes, will star in a Doctor Who exhibition alongside fellow robotic stars the Cybermen at the BBC Experience, which takes place at the GL1 leisure centre in Gloucester on Sunday, September 26.
A day of family fun featuring top BBC programmes, the attractions at the BBC experience also include the Casualty special effects team, Chris Vacher from BBC Points West and actors John Challis and Sue Holderness who played Boycie and Marlene in Only Fools and Horses.
The BBC Experience lasts from 10am until 5pm and admission is free.
