HUSBAND and wife duo Sean and Gwen Kinsey tasted success at the World Biathle Championships in Marktoberdorf, Germany.
Gwen scooped bronze and Jessica Turnbull eighth in the senior women's class. Gwen and Jessica participated in a 1500m, 200m swim and another 1500m run (continuous).
This was Jessca's first international Biathle, although she has previously represented GB for fell running and cross-country running
Meanwhile, Sean Kinsey took part in the Masters A class (40 - 49 yrs). Sean gained bronze in his first podium finish as he tested himself during a 1000m run, 100m swim and 1000m run.
It was certainly a family affair as Geoff Lewis; Gwen's father from Cheshire was second in the Masters C class (60+ yrs).
Results Women:1st:Daniela Chmet (Italy)13mins 54 secs, 2nd:Laura Asadauskaite (Lithuania) 14mins 04 secs, 3rd:Gwen Kinsey (GB) 14mins 11 secs, 8th:Jessica Turnbull (GB)14mins 55 secs.
Results Men: 1st:Luca Villa (Italy) 8mins 02 secs, 2nd:Sean Kinsey (GB) 8mins 23 secs, 3rd:Jannie Nieuwenjuys (South Africa) 8mins 39 secs.
