AN ECLECTIC new Stroud-based art group, The ARTisans, are to launch their first exhibition at Iguana Gallery in Cainscross this weekend.
The diverse group includes Carole Braddock, Rachel Ganz, Lynne Newell, Carlos Ordonez, Angela Stevens, Alex Wood and six others. The work ranges from meditations on the Green Man to experimental mixed-media artworks.
"There's an extraordinary range of work on show reflecting the energy and current preoccupations of the group," said exhibition curator Lynne Newell. "Iguana is a wonderful space to exhibit in."
On working with The ARTisans. Rodborough's Rachel Ganz said: "It's been very exciting to work with a group of like-minded artists. Hopefully that excitement will show in the exhibition."
The ARTisans' exhibition opens on Saturday, October 2 at 10am and is open until Friday, October 8. The gallery is open daily between 10am and 3pm, except for Sunday.
