ALASTAIR BRESSINGTON has admitted that his Gloucestershire cricket career could be over after the all-rounder was told that the County are not in a position to offer him a contract.
Bressington, 24, who also plays rugby for Painswick, told the SNJ: "I'm not sure what is happening at the moment and it came as a complete surprise to me.
"Gloucestershire are looking to reinforce their pace attack and if they get someone in then the impression I'm being given is that I wont be offered anything."
Bressington played in the opening two County Championship matches of the season and the first-class fixture with Lougborough UCCE.
Bressington took 17 wickets in his nine first-class matches, with the highlight being the 4-36 he claimed on his debut against Glamorgan four-years ago. His best performance with the bat was an unbeaten 58 against Kent last April.
Despite the crushing news Bressington is keen to remain at Gloucestershire: " I would love to stay at Gloucestershire as I have been with the club since I was eleven, but I will be contacting other County sides and see what options I can explore.
