Lewer threatens major Lawn cull Nationwide Conference Crawley Town 4 Forest Green Rovers 2
AFTER presiding over two defeats and one draw Forest Green Rovers' new boss Alan Lewer is set to pull the plug on a number of his squad before Saturday's vital home clash with Scarborough on Saturday (3pm).
And after Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Crawley Town more players seem likely to join Alex Sykes and Rob Betts through the revolving door out of The Lawn.
Lewer met with players and chairman Trevor Horsley and informed his team that performances like the Crawley debacle will not be tolerated under his managment.
Lewer felt that only recent signings Jefferson Louis, Adam Garner and two-goal scorer Charlie Griffin deserved any tangible credit.
Lewer has certainly made his mark at the bottom of the table side as he strives to save the lowly Nailsworth outfit from the anonymity of relegation.
