HEATHER COOK has been overwhelmed by the floods of support she has received from Forest Green fans, since the popular club stalwart was informed that her job as office manager was made redundant last week.
She said:"The fans have been absolutely fantastic and I can't thank them enough. I'm disappointed to leave but no individual is more important than the club and the most important thing is to get behind the team."
Heather (pictured) has been connected with the club for 30 years, beginning as programme editor in the 1980's before taking a press-officer role and in more recent times running the day- to - day business of the office.
Heather will still remain a familiar face in the press box on match-days, were she will help out on a voluntary basis.
Heather is now searching for employment in an administration capacity.
Anyone who could help Heather in her employment search should, in the first instance e.mail heather@five-valleys.freeserve.co.uk
