The wait is almost over for pupils and staff at Eastington Primary School, as building works at the school near completion.
Work began at the beginning of this year to build a new hall and 2 classrooms, remove temporary buildings and to improve the drainage system on the site.
The project, which cost approximately £935,000, was funded by Gloucestershire County Council, developer contributions from Crest Nicholson and by the school.
Malcolm Strang, Headteacher of Eastington Primary School, said: “This is a fantastic project and will undoubtedly improve the learning environment for the children. The school would like to thank the county council and all those involved in the project (including the children!) for their patience, support and inspiration.”
Len Tomlins, local county councillor, said: “I am delighted that the works to improve the school are nearly finished. This has been a big project and will improve the teaching and learning environment.”
The work is due to be completed by Christmas.
