A COMMUNITY history project focusing on Rodborough was launched in the Community Hall on Saturday.
Remembering Rodborough, developed by local artist Helen Rimmer, aims to document and celebrate the village’s heritage through various activities.
Residents on Saturday were invited to look at history displays, share memories of local life, find out more about the project and even sign-up to take part.
They were also asked to nominate something in the parish they want to know more about, whether it be an organisation, street or area.
The study, which will run through 2009, aims to collect an oral history of Rodborough with various tools and materials, ranging from paper and pen to video cameras and tape recorders.
Two filmed walks will also be held to help people share memories. Anyone interested in taking part can call parish clerk Theresa Mansbridge on 01453 762686 or email Helen Rimmer at remembering-rodborough@sky.com
