STROUD Disco Council won't collect your rubbish, clean the streets or collect taxes - but they will get you dancing with a fantastic mix of funky house beats and lost Balearic classics.
Following popular demand, the DJs are selling their T-shirts, which feature Stroud District Council's logo, at Brilliant Disguise in Stroud high street.
"Sales have been phenomenal, said store owner Simon Powell.
"We've been having regular enquiries ever since the T-shirt was unveiled at The Lockkeepers at the mini fringe.
"Fortunately we've been able to get some more printed but it's hard to keep up with demand."
SDC chief executive David Hagg said he was pleased the group had decided to use the authority's logo.
"It’s flattering that a T-shirt with our logo emblazoned across the front is considered to be stylish enough to be sold alongside brands such as Fenchurch, Superdry and Fly53," he said.
"Obviously, we should point out that there is no link between Stroud District Council and Stroud Disco Council.
"We could be really heavy handed on this issue but we’re not as stuffy as people might think."
Stroud Disco Council perform on the first Saturday of each month at Bar Nine as well as at regular parties at the Lockkeepers and other Stroud venues.
The T-shirts come with a free limited-edition Stroud Disco Council CD while stocks last.
