A MOTORCYCLIST from Stroud was left injured last night, Tuesday, November 11 after crashing into a telegraph pole on the notorious B4008 in Standish, between the church and railway bridge.
Police were called at 4.50pm after the motorcyclist collided with the telegraph pole which fell into a field. The man, who was driving a red Honda, was trapped in a hedge and a fire crew from Stroud freed him by 5.50pm.
The road was closed at the Stonehouse end at 5pm to 7pm while oil and debris was cleared from the road.
The man, who was in a lot of pain, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with leg injuries that were not life thretening and police say he is doing well.
