THIS was the dramatic moment a 4x4 burst into flames near Stroud.
The images - taken by Denise Blake - show the vehicle ablaze on Calf Way near Fostons Ash on Monday afternoon.
Flames are seen coming from the vehicle with a thick cloud of smoke blowing across the fields as police and the fire service attend.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 2.39pm to reports of a car on fire.
“One fire engine was sent to the scene from Gloucester South and the crew used two hose reels and two sets of breathing apparatus to put it out.
“The police were requested to attend while the area was made safe, as smoke was blowing across the road.
“There were no casualties and the stop time was 3.27pm.”
