POLICE in Gloucestershire are advising motorists to stay at home unless their journey is urgent.
A post from Glos Police Specialist Ops on social media read: "We are advising motorists to stay at home unless travel is urgent due to multiple roads have now become flooded and trees blocking roads around the county.
"Officers are trying their best to manage diversions whilst working with Highways England and Gloucestershire fire & rescue."
The Environment Agency has meanwhile issued a flood alert for the Little Avon River and other rivers and streams in the Vale of Berkeley for today, Sunday, November 24.
